Default do a passive fader draw any power?

I am running my front component speakers and rear 6x9 off of one amp using a passive fader, my question is am I losing any amp power running this fader or am I better off getting rid of it? Setting is always in the middle. I only use it when tuning or when I have passenger complaining it's too loud in the back.

I have never seen HU that does not have some sort of balance to set

it's in series with speaker. The HU does have a fader but I am only running one amp and it happens to be a two channel amp. So I am losing some power with this setup?

yes, that resistor only creates heat that goes into air instead that would be saved or used for runing speaker
